The Pieces That Have Shaped My Summer Wardrobe

The Pieces That Have Shaped My Summer Wardrobe

If you know me, you know I’m not out here just grabbing clothes for the sake of it. I’m building a rotation — the kind of pieces that look better with time, and keep up with the day-to-day.

Here’s what’s been in heavy rotation for me this summer:

The Rugby Popover

Let’s start with this guy. It’s got that heritage sport DNA that I’ve always been drawn to, but with our own Elk Head spin.

The “X” stitching detail makes it feel unique and special — not just another shirt hanging in the closet. You throw this on and it feels like you actually care about what you’re wearing without trying too hard.

Camp Collar Cool

Honorable mention goes to our lighter weights — especially the Seersucker Camp Collar. It’s easy, versatile, and crazy lightweight. Jeans? Works. Stone pant? Works. Beach? Works. If summer had an official shirt, this would be in the running.

The Stone Pant

Speaking of… this is my summer MVP. Two percent stretch in a lightweight canvas, and the ivory color literally goes with everything. I’ve worn these with polos, popovers, and everything in between. If I could only keep one pant in my summer lineup, it’s this one.

Footwear Rotation

I bounce between two:

  • Flower Mountain sneakers — for those days I want to keep it casual but still have a little pop.

  • Astroflex loafers — when I want to clean it up. Both pair perfectly with the Stone Pant, and that’s no accident.

Piqué Polo Redemption

I didn’t think I was a polo guy anymore… until this one. The collar lays just right, the placket details are on point, and it feels elevated without being fussy. It’s basically the lazy man’s way to look dressed up.

Outerwear

Two pieces are on constant repeat:

  • A brown cotton-linen jacket that’s getting better with every wash and wear.

  • Our navy Chore coat — my favorite to date. All the signature Elk Head details are baked in: subtle sporty nods, rugby-inspired elements, and timeless navy that plays well with anything.

If you’re looking for an easy summer wardrobe that will transition into the cooler weather, this lineup is it. Every piece here works hard, looks sharp, and plays nice with the rest of your closet.
